Operating Hours & Policies

Regular Hours

We are open Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Early Drop-Off

For parents/guardians with long work commutes, we offer an early drop-off option from 7:00 AM to 7:30 AM. This extended time is specifically for those working long hours and needing extra travel time. We encourage children to spend as much time as possible in the comfort of their home with family, as a 10-hour day can be exhausting for young children.

Late Pick-Up Policy

It is expected that children are picked up no later than 5:30 PM, as I have personal commitments outside of childcare hours. A late fee of $1 per minute will be charged after 5:30 PM. For example, if you arrive at 5:45 PM, a $15 fee will be applied. Consistent lateness will be documented and may result in further action.

Closures

Creative Kids Daycare will be closed on all statutory holidays. For any additional closures (e.g., non-statutory holidays), parents will receive at least two weeks’ notice.

We follow the FCPS (Fairfax County Public Schools) holiday schedule for closures, which includes, but is not limited to:

• New Year’s Day
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day
• President’s Day
• Emancipation Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Indigenous People’s Day
• Veterans Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
• Eid (specific dates will be communicated)
